Robinson Donovan, P.C., a full-service law firm trusted by generations to represent individual and business clients throughout Massachusetts and New England, today announced Attorney Patricia Rapinchuk and Attorney Jeffrey J. Trapani will be participating in an Earned Sick Time Law Roundtable, sponsored by the Springfield Regional Chamber of Commerce, on November 10, 2015, from 8-9 a.m.

On November 10, employees and businesses will have access to employment law professionals to clarify ambiguities that still exist in the new earned sick time laws. Attendees will be able to ask questions and learn more about the best practices being used and will have a chance to share experiences with how their businesses have changed policies to better implement the law. Each table discussion will be facilitated by participating lawyers, providing a unique opportunity for businesses of all sizes to ask questions. Employers with 11 or more employees are entitled to earn and use up to 40 hours of paid sick time per calendar year, whereas employers with fewer than 11 employers are only entitled to earn unpaid sick time.

“I am excited to participate in the upcoming roundtable discussion. It is important that businesses and employees understand the changing nature of the laws surrounding earned sick leave and how this can impact the workplace,” said Attorney Trapani.

Interested participants can register at myonlinechamber.com. Registration for Chamber members is $15 and $25 for general admission. The event is being held at the TD Bank conference room at 1441 Main St., 1st Floor in downtown Springfield.
