Local Attorney and Program Co-Chair, Carla W. Newton, to facilitate event in conjunction with the Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education Regional Conference “Cutting Edge Issues in Western Massachusetts Family Law Practice,” March 23

Newton, along with Thomas A. Kenefick, III will co-chair a continuing education opportunity for family law professionals as part of the upcoming Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education (MCLE) regional conference to be held in Springfield, March 23.
“There have been some very interesting cases decided by the Appeals Court over this past year in the area of family law,” said Newton, “and we have been able to gather some of our region’s most experienced practitioners to examine emergent trends and how these recent decisions will impact the practice of family law. These conferences help us all to become better in serving the needs of our clients.”

Attorney Carla W. Newton, a resident of South Hadley, practices family law at Springfield-based Robinson Donovan, P.C. Her business and commercial law background provides an important component to her work as a family law practitioner in Springfield and throughout Massachusetts. In addition to family law, Attorney Newton also practices corporate and business counseling, commercial real estate law and litigation. She is a member of the American Bar Association, Massachusetts Bar Association, Hampden County Bar Association, International Association of Collaborative Professionals and the Massachusetts Collaborative Law Council.
Attorney Newton earned her Master of Laws degree from Boston University (1990), a Juris Doctor from Suffolk University (1980) and a Bachelor of Arts from Lesley College (1972). As a distinguished legal leader, she has regularly been awarded and recognized for outstanding achievements, including selection to the Best Lawyers in America© list (2013-present) and the Super Lawyers list (2013-present). Additionally, Attorney Newton was recognized by Best Lawyers® as the 2015 family law “Lawyer of the Year” in Springfield.
