Carla Newton Elected Chairwoman of Sisters of Providence Health System Board of Trustees

Carla W. Newton was elected chair of the board of trustees of Sisters of Providence Health System, succeeding Dennis A. Fitzpatrick, president of O'Connell Cos. Inc.

Newton is a partner in the Springfield law firm of Robinson Donovan, P.C.

Fitzpatrick now serves on the board of trustees of Mercy Medical Center, as does Leda M. McKenry, formerly on the SPHS board.

New members of the board are Joanne M. Beauregard, controller of O'Connell Development Group Inc. of Holyoke, and the Rev. Karen L. Rucks of Springfield.
